Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Harris County Emergency Services District 13 Announce Organizational Restructuring.
Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Department (CCVFD) has had the honor and pleasure of serving their community for over 40 years. Did you know they have provided fire protection services here since 1976? These services have been provided as the subcontractor to Harris County Emergency Services District 13 (HCESD 13), a 32 sq. mile area of Northwest Harris County servicing over 80,000 residents.
As our area has grown and evolved so has our organization. Over the years as we have grown to meet the demand and service expectations of our district, we have transitioned from a purely-volunteer system to a fully-combination system with both paid and volunteer personnel. The direct result of these gradual changes is the necessity for us to restructure the organization to reflect the true combination nature of our organization, allowing us to operate effectively and efficiently. In a cooperative effort between CCVFD and HCESD 13, both organizations have mutually agreed on a new service delivery model.
Starting January 1, 2019 HCESD 13 will become the service provider for fire protection services; as you can see below there will be no impact to the community:
The reorganization is fully supported by the management of both CCVFD and HCESD 13; CCVFD and HCESD 13 are dedicated to providing excellence in service to our district and are excited about the opportunity the reorganization provides as we continue working to improve our service delivery. This combination staff of both paid and volunteer personnel is what allows the new Cypress Creek Fire Department to provide great service to our district at the best value to our taxpayers.
