Cypress Creek Fire Department to Staff Water Tender As a Preventive Measure

Cypress Creek Fire Department to Staff Water Tender As a Preventive Measure

Earlier today, City of Houston experienced a main line break on the east side of the city near east 610 loop. This has affected much of the City of Houston.

As a response, Cypress Creek Fire Department (CCFD) will be staffing their water tender, Tanker 22, for any calls where hydrant pressure may be an issue. This is a preventive measure to make sure they can respond and quickly handle any fire while the City of Houston resolves the main line break. T22 has a water supply of 4,000 gallons in the event hydrant pressure is unavailable or unviable.

Additionally, CCFD is making T22 available to Houston Fire Department in case they need mutual aid and water capacity. T22 is currently staffed at Station 22 and ready for deployment anywhere it is needed most.
